Show all the customer or vendor transactions in one huge form in D365 Finance

Paolo Cecchelli Profile Picture Paolo Cecchelli 402
Recently I was asked by a customer to move the open customer and vendor transactions from one company in Dynamics 365 Finance to another because they merged them. That gave me the possibility to use of the feature I most like when it comes to Dynamics 365 with respect to the previous versions: the possibility of unfiltering with the F5 (refresh button).

I wanted to have a list of all open transactions (invoices, payments, general journals…) affecting the AP and AR balance with the relevant information to move them to the other company, so I did the following:

  1. I went to select a random customer in the customer listpage and clicked on “Transactions”:

  1. Then I added all the relevant fields needed for the migration (such as the exchange rate, due date etc…) but most importantly I put the Customer account as the first column and I saved the view:

  1. Now that I had all the information I needed, I simply click “F5”to refresh the page or the refresh button on top on the browser:

  1. Et voila, this action unfiltered all the customer transactions and allowing to see those of all customers:

  1. After having done that, it is possible to filter and export the data. In my case, I filtered for only the Open transactions (the ones having a non-zero balance) so that I had the base for the export I had to make:

The exact same reasoning can be applied to vendor transactions.

That’s all folks, see you next time!
