Adis Hodzic – Community Spotlight

Adis is a consultant for Dynamics 365 F&O in Austria. He started in 2016 with AX2012 as a key user in an international production company. During his first years he was managing solutions in the area of product master data and engineering and was also in charge as a roll out manager. While his background is business administration, he dived more and more into the ERP topic, building knowledge and skills in the area of project management and accounting, finance, electronic reporting, as well as Power Automate and system administration.

Adis is always striving to increase his technical skills as much as possible without going into coding. This is something he leaves for the developers as it is a too big area of expertise to cover for a consultant without developer skills.

A few things Adis learned through his career that he focuses on when providing solutions:

• Requirement engineering is very important. Understanding the business process is a must.
• Providing solutions within the ERP area as well as the Microsoft standard toolbox.
• Customizations are only to be done when a clear benefit can be achieved.
• Customizations that imply deep changes are to be avoided. Always strive to implement parameters in order to switch on and off solutions, leaving the door open to go back to the Microsoft standard.
• Understand that business and ERP processes are handled by people, so training and support has a high importance.
