BC26 - Inconsistency error from exchange rate rounding

One of our customer upgraded to BC26 over the week-end.

Since the update, they are unable to post sales orders with a different currency code if it has more than 1 line on it.

They are getting a rounding of 0.01 inconsistency.

We have uninstalled all 3rd party extensions in a sandbox and are still getting the same error.

We also restored production to 1 hour prior of the BC26 update into another sandbox and we don't have the rounding issue for the same order

Rounding and currency/exchange rate setups haven't changed.

But they didn't have the new exchange rate and invoice posting engine features enabled in BC25 and they got turned on automatically during the upgrade, which I think might be the culprit but I have no proof yet.

I'm adding 1 more information. This happens only if we are trying to invoice from the sales order.

If we only ship the order, then create a sales invoice and use the Get Shipment Lines functionality, we have no rounding issue.

We will definately open a ticket with Microsoft but I was wondering if anyone else came across that issue?

Yes, you're right — this is a known issue introduced in BC26 related to the new invoice posting and exchange rate engine. It causes a rounding inconsistency (typically 0.01) when posting multi-line sales orders in foreign currency. It doesn’t occur if you post via Get Shipment Lines, which uses a different posting path.

You can either disable the new features in Feature Management (if still possible) or raise a support ticket with Microsoft to address it.

We have also encountered this exact issue.

In our tests to recreate, comments on ANY line other than after the first item cause the inconsistency. Preview posting still works and you must go see the imbalance in the GL entries.

Wow, this is exactly the same issue as my client.

Deleting the comment type lines from the sales order makes the error go away.

This doesn't give us a solution but at least we have more details to open a ticket.

I have seen similar questions in the BC Yammer Group, but no Microsoft technicians have answered them so far.
