AP and AR modules menus are missing

In my D365 Finance and Operations environment, the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable module menus are missing, even though I am assigned the System Administrator role.

I have tried clearing the browser cache, but the issue persists. I also verified by logging in with other user accounts using the same browser, and the menus are displayed correctly for those accounts.

Please advise on how to resolve this issue.

Hi @J_Lee

You may try the following steps to resolve the issue:

1- Kindly verify that no additional roles are assigned apart from the System Administrator role, as overlapping roles may override access and hide certain modules.

2- Please try resetting the usage data from System administration in User options, as corrupted personalization may also cause this issue.

I have tried the following actions:

Cleared all assigned roles

Cleared all assigned roles

Assigned a specific role

Assigned the System Administrator role

However, the issue still persists.

Hi J Lee,

In the standard application, there is no option to personalize the main menu. I'm currently working on a customization which makes something similar possible,

Are you able to open some menu items from these menus in case you manipulate the URL? e.g. mi=CustGroup
Have you checked if there are some license configurations disabled? Can this be related to a menu customization in your environment?

Are other users able to see these menus in the same environment?

Yes, i can access the menu item directly, such as vendor payment journal. But i cannot see Account payable and Account receivable menu.

Yes, other user can see it in my browser under the same workstation.

@J_Lee,

What is the language setting on your user options? In case this is e.g. en-gb, the menu names are different. They are then called Sales ledger and Purchase ledger.

Initially, i use "en-HK" as language.

1) change to use 'zh-Hant' traditional chinese language, the Account payable and receivable can be seen.

2) Then, change to use 'en-HK' or 'en-GB' languaage, the Account payable and receivable cannot be seen.

In en-us the modules are named Accounts payable and Accounts receivable. The same labels are used for the en-hk language in the standard application. As mentioned the en-gb language has other labels. Then the modules should be visible, but are placed in alphabetical order. They are then lower in the menu order.
