ProjectsV2 entity returns no data in Odata call

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to retrieve project data using OData in environment where we have demo data.

When I use the Projects entity (ProjectEntity), the OData call returns data as expected. However, when I switch to ProjectsV2 (ProjProjectV2Entity), the same OData query returns no records at all.

I’ve verified that:

Projects exist and are returned correctly via ProjectEntity
The OData endpoint is accessible
No obvious errors are returned—just an empty result set

Has anyone experienced this behavior with ProjProjectV2Entity?

In general the V2 entity is designed for integrated scenario (CE) if your scenario not that you have to use the V1

Hi,

I tried to reproduce your scenario and see the same behavior as you. When looking at the data entity design, there is a hidden filter on the Type field with value None that prevents the entity from returning the projects.

Diego just shared that Microsoft claims that this is by design.
