German audit file output D365F&SCM

Dear Experts,

I am attempting to export the German audit file using the standard configuration in D365 Finance & SCM (version 10.0.45). In the legacy SAP system, audit files contained queries, whereas in D365 Finance & SCM, the data is exported as text or XML files. I understand that this difference is due to the cloud-based architecture, which generates static files instead of live queries.

From an auditing perspective, my concern is that the exported data may not reflect the most up-to-date state of the production environment at the time of the audit. I would like to understand what approaches or best practices can be used to mitigate this issue and ensure that the audit data is as current and reliable as possible.

    Can you tell us more about "audit files contained queries" in SAP? What is this? Do you mean you can from another tool query data from SAP? If so, suppose an audit will be done over 2025 on February 6. Do you need live data for that?

    Hi André,

    Audit files containes TSQL queries. I am not sure how they retrieve the data using these queries. I am looking for possibiilities if it is possible from D365FO side or not, even the database cannot be accessed in D365FO scenario.
