Remove "Blank" Location Code from Physical Inventory Reports

In Inventory Setup, I've got location required set.

When I run a Physical Inventory Journal, I still get duplicates of everything in a blank location code -even though the count is zero.

Am I doomed to filtering this out forever or can I eliminate it?

Thanks.

Remove "Blank" Location Code from Physical Inventory Reports
    Hello,

The only way to eliminate them (instead of filtering) is to clean up your data so that no stock exists in a blank location for example, post item reclass journals to move any quantities from blank to valid locations, and ensure stockkeeping units (SKUs) are set up for all active items with the correct locations. Once there are no quantities in the blank location, the Physical Inventory Journal will no longer generate those extra lines.

Hope you can get some idea from this answer!

    Regards,
    Mansi Soni

There is no way as far as I can tell to set a default location on an item card.

Your reply is helpful but amounts to filtering which is what I was hoping to eliminate.

This usually happens when some items have no transactions or bin content assigned to any location. To avoid “blank” location lines in the Physical Inventory Journal:

Ensure all items have a default location code set in the Item Card.

Run the journal using the "Calculate Inventory" function and select “Include Items Without Transactions” = false.

Use filters to exclude blank locations, or customize the report to suppress them entirely.

If this remains a recurring issue, a minor customization can automate the exclusion. ✅
