Hi,

Thanks in Advance

I am facing an issue that when ever I try to post a Sales Credit Memo it is giving me an error.

No Customization and other details which I have entered are pretty much I specify normally.

I have the same question (0)

    Hello,

Do you have one of the following Permission Sets:
      D365 SALES DOC, POST
      S&R-Q/O/I/R/C, POST
      (or SUPER)

Just for test, try giving the SUPER permission set and see if it allows.
If same error exist them just try uninstalling any custom extension and see if its wokring.
Apart from Credit Memo is he able to do other transactions?
Certain combinations we need to check, also make sure its not document specific.

Are you sure you don't have customizations or any apps installed? That doesn't seem like a standard error message.

    Hello,
This usually means the user posting the Sales Credit Memo is missing some required permission, even if the document itself is fine and there’s no customization; in Business Central, posting runs code that needs to modify related tables indirectly, so if the user lacks the needed permission set or is blocked by posting policy/workflow, BC often throws a generic “User is not allowed to modify” message, so the practical checks are: test with a real SUPER user, compare permission sets with another user who can post sales documents, review User Setup / invoice posting policy / approvals, and if this memo is a correction, try creating it from Posted Sales Invoice > Cancel > Create Corrective Credit Memo to follow the standard posting flow.
    Regards,
