"Use modern search (faster)" option is not working correctly after update to V27

Hi,

After update of BC to V27, we noticed that the "Use modern search (faster)" option is not working correctly in sales documents lines after update to V27.

Example:

If I go to the item list, where I have this option selected

Searching for "ol eu v5", I can find this 2 items which are ok !

If I do the same from a sales order line:

The BC doesn't retrieve anything for the same search criteria:

This was not the BC behavior in previous versions, where BC could filter items using the modern search logic.

Is there someone with same scenario?

note: the same is happening in purchase lines.

Hi, I tried it, and it really doesn't work. It seems to be a problem with the standards.

The only solution now is to submit the issue to Microsoft.

Hello,

Modern search works on the Item List but not inside sales/purchase lines, where it fails to return partial-match results.

It’s a v27 bug, and several users have already reported it to Microsoft.

I tested it on the version :

Version: W1 27.0 (Platform 27.0.41799.0 + Application 27.0.38460.42006)

and working ok as i saw:

All your items start with "test", that's why it seems to work.

Search by "item" and see the result.

I also renamed several items with text Test

Same for me @Maria Sa at both version 27.0 and 27.1 - cannot find via modern fast search if we type "con tab". Its a bug also can be features because if you search like this in lines then system can selected wrong item (if we have a lot of same or similar descriptions on the items cards)
