Personalization view with filtering, sorting and republish

I have designed a view with filtering and sorting in some columns but i cannot save it as personalized view.

Please advise

1) how to save the filtering and sorting to be personalized view

2) how to update the published view and republish it? currently, i update the published view to be a new name and then publish it.

Hi J Lee,

In my picture under I filter the Approval Status "Confirmed" and Purchase order status "Open order".

You can see that this view is not save yet - by the "*" present below the standard view.

This works the same with advanced filter and sort.

In order to save this view you need to open the standard view and "Save as" and give it a name.

You can create as many views you want. And save them. When you "pin as default" the view will become your default view when you access the page.

To see and manage your views you follow the following steps:

Here you can see all the views that you have access to for this particular page.

When you update your view - you need to make sure you save the changes.

To Publish - go to System administration -Setup-Personalization - On personal views is a collection of all your views that you created in the system. Choose and "Publish". You need to have a role in the system that allows you to "Publish" views.

After you make changes and you save then you may need to republish. Go to "Published views", choose the view and "Republish".

Thank Adis and Mia,

In workflow history, i have tried to filter uses != 'Admin' and save the personalized view.

Once i close the form and reopen it, the filter is lost.

Hi Jessica,

I tested myself on a workflow history view and you are right. It seems that the personalization does't work on the workflow history page. It makes sense somehow, as the hole point of this view is to show all the steps the approval process has been through.

I am not sure if you can personalize this view.

Hi J Lee,

In this scenario, the data shown in the Tracking details is executed for each workflow with the default link. In this case, it is not possible to hide the records related to the admin user. It can be achieved by a customization, but I think the records might be relevant for specific troubleshooting in case a workflow is stuck.
