Hi All

My customer sells cable, and these are Lot Tracked. They can have 1 item with different lot sizes for the cable.

Lets say they have a 190 metre and a 10 M lot, and the customer wants 200 metres, they dont want to create a pick to split into a 190 and an 10m.

Any advice on how to handle this? I want the pick line (for LOT items only ) to just create for the 200, and they can decide in the Pick if it needs to be split or not picked at all.

Creating a pick for a full lot nr

Hello,

To handle lot-tracked cable items without auto-splitting pick lines, you can use the "Direct Pick and Pu-away" in Location to create a single pick line for the full requested quantity (e.g., 200 metres) and defer lot assignment to the pick registration stage.

This allows warehouse staff to manually select and split lots (e.g., 190m + 10m) during picking, giving them flexibility to fulfill the order as needed.

If necessary, a small AL customization can suppress automatic lot-based splitting during pick creation to support this workflow.
