I installed the BusinessCentral Finance app and then attempt to connect it. I have verified that I am entering the correct environment and company name. After logging in it attempts to refresh the data. After some time it give the error message below. I am on US Business Central 25.2 (Platform 25.2.29617.0 + Application 25.2.27733.29622).

Error message:

Data source error: The API category "microsoft/analytics/v0.5" does not exist. Environment Name: Production. Tenant: 1335bf5f-5973-451f-ba39-bd3fb3a70fa6.. The exception was raised by the IDbCommand interface. Table: Dimension Sets.

This definitely seems like a problem related to versions. The Business Central Finance Power BI app might be having a problem with connecting to that API version.

I wish I could give more insight into the an actual solution

Error in Connecting PowerBI Finance App

I received a similar error though for "microsoft/analytics/v1.0" when installing the various Power BI app for Business Central version 27.0. I tried changing the value to lower versions (e.g. v0.5), though other errors related to missing objects appeared.

I don't have much knowledge about BC, though this issues might be related to the BC version available (e.g. issues with compatibility between libraries).

I hope that the error will be fixed by Microsoft.

Such error should have appeared during regression testing...
