Data Exchange Definition import file with two-footer lines

Hi all,

I am setting up a Data Exchange Definition to Import Bank statement.

Everything works great but I have two lines in footer (received from bank).

Footer Line 1: Total Value of Transaction
Footer Line 2: Number of transactions

Using Footer Tag, I can skip first line but how to handle footer line 2.

Is it possible with standard Data Exchange Definition to skip two lines in footer?

Regards,
Saurav Dhyani

    Hi,

In the standard Data Exchange Definition, the Footer Tag only lets you skip a single footer line. If your bank file has two footer lines, there’s no direct setup option to ignore both.

    > Adjust the file before import (e.g., remove/merge the extra footer line).
    > Or create a custom Data Exchange codeunit/subscriber to handle multiple footer lines during import.

default BC configurations can’t skip more than one footer line.

    Thanks

The Data Exchange Definition has always been a bit tricky if it doesn’t align with the customer’s bank file format. You may need to do some tweaking for this, but before that, did you try using the assisted setup to check what default configuration the system is offering? Sometimes, a small adjustment from there can solve the issue.

It's not possible using standard functionality, you'll need to customize the import to do it.
