Copy specific legal entity from PROD to Sandbox environment D365FSCM

Hello Experts,

I need to copy only one specific legal entity data from PROD to Sandbox environment (D365F SCM).

Could anyone please suggest the best approach to achieve this

    There is no option to do this. You can only copy the whole db, but not parts of it. Especially, since the data isnt seperated by legal entities in different tables. In most cases you have a table where one column indicates to which legal entity the row belongs. Its not in all tables but most of them.
     
    So, copying the whole db is the solution. Question is, why do you want to copy only one legal entity?

    Thank you for your response!.

    The sandbox will be given to specific users where they have sys admin access. I can say, Two different groups are in the same tenant. We want to restrict other legal entity data.

    As an alternative, you can create a script that will delete transactions and/or master data after the copy from prod to a sandbox.

    You can also consider using other security roles and limit access by assigning organizations to the user associated security roles.

    Hi André, 

    Thank you for your input. I have one additional question regarding the Power BI workspace. The workspace is intended to be dedicated to a single team, and users should not be able to connect to other environments such as UAT or PROD from within that workspace. However, the users currently have broader access rights. Since these permissions are controlled at the Entra ID level rather than within Finance & Operations, could you please provide guidance on how to best manage or restrict this access?
