Why G/L Entry Table index grows a lot?

Hi Everyone,
 
I faced a problem with clould storage of D365 Business Central , it grows a lot for 3 years of transaction.
by default we got 80 GB per tenant, but only 1 index table of GL Entry grows 70.XX GB.
 
Any Idea to solve this issue?

    Why G/L Entry Table index grows a lot?
    I see that the number of entries in your GL entry is approaching 100 million. You can try exporting this data, saving it locally, and deleting the data in the cloud.

    Also, I'm not sure if rebuilding the index will solve your problem, but rebuilding the index isn't possible in SaaS. You'll have to contact Microsoft to resolve the issue.

    I will suggest user to clear some transaction to reset index size.
