Error creating Azure Service Bus endpoint in 10.0.47

Has anyone encountered this error when trying to add a Azure Service Bus in D365 Finance and Operations, version 10.0.47? Error attached. I get this error in the business event configuration, adding an endpoint. The endpoint can be added in other environments running a lower version, as well as my cloud hosted dev environments.

Text of error is:

Response status code does not indicate success: 400 ({"error":

{"code":"0x80040224","message":"Attempt to read all configurations from FnO failed with message 'You do not have permission to execute Business EventsConfigurationEntity retrieveMultiple. A Finance and Operations administrator must assign you to the correct role to perform this operation.'"}}).

Important to note that I have the system administrator role so there is nothing I could add that could give me more access.

Even though you have System Administrator in Dataverse / Field Service, the error is coming from Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, not Dataverse.

The message:

“You do not have permission to execute BusinessEventsConfigurationEntity…”

means:

Your user does NOT have required permissions inside F&O

Dataverse role ≠ F&O role

Thanks for putting some thought into my question. Unfortunately, I am logged into D365 FinOps as system administrator, so I cannot elevate my account any further. I was able to add service bus endpoint in the business event config in previous versions, and this broke after the update to 10.0.47.

Hello @StephenHughes,

I encountered another issue, but it has now been resolved using the solution below. I recommend that you try it and also verify that you have the correct admin rights on Dataverse in addition to Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.

- update the Finance and Operations Virtual Entity application
