Release Sales Orders to Warehouse - order lines not fully reserved

Hi,

our company is migrating to D365 from AX 2012 R3, and we are keen to use the more efficient version of Release to Warehouse - we are trying our best to avoid any modifications.

I may have missed something, but is there any way to show on the Release Sales Orders to Warehouse screen only the sales lines that are fully reserved (eg Qty Available to Release = Sales Line Qty).  We have the warehouse set up so that it will only release fully reserved lines, that works fine, but we deal with a LOT of back orders and the screen could become extremely cluttered.   (We will be using Automatic RTW for the majority of orders, but a lot of customers have to have ordered a certain value/weight before a release is requested manually).

I've tried filtering but I don't think it's possible as Qty Available to Release is a display field? I'm hoping there may be another way (or a parameter has been missed!)

Thanks,
Tony

    Hi,

Yes, you are right, you cannot filter from that very screen the order lines that are fully reserved.

However, your issue can be resolved through the following process:

You have to set Fulfillment Policy in the Sales Order header inside Warehouse Fast Tab.

    • The Fulfillment Policy must be set to be complete or 100% (or as per your requirement)
    • Set the value type to quantity or price (again as per your requirement), and
    • Select “Error” in “Fulfillment Violation Messages” field.

Once you set this up inside all the sales orders, you can proceed with Automatic Release of Sales orders.

The fulfillment policy can also be selected from the "Release Sales Orders to Warehouse" page over the selected lines form.

    Best Regards.
