REBATE AGREEMENT CHANGE EXPIRY DATE

ALL THE REBATE AGREEMENTS STATE  "NEVER" ON EXPIRY DATE. HOW CAN  THE DATE BE EDITED OR STOP THE REBATE AGREEMENT TO START A NEW AGREEMENT.

    Can you tell us what Dynamics 365 application this question is related to? There are several different solutions in the Dynamics 365 family, like: Sales, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Project Operations, and Customer Insights. If you can clarify the product, we can answer the question or move it to the correct forum.

    Click on the expiry date and edit the date
     
    • Expire the existing agreement

      • Change the agreement status to Closed, Expired, or Stopped (depending on the rebate management version and configuration).

      • This prevents new transactions from qualifying for the rebate.

        •  

    • Create a new agreement

      • Create a new rebate agreement with the desired effective dates.

      • Ensure the old agreement is ended or closed to avoid overlapping rebate calculations. 

        •  
    • If the date is not editable

      • The agreement may already be approved, activated, or have posted transactions.

      • In this case, standard practice is usually to close/end the existing agreement and create a replacement rather than modifying historical validity dates.
