Planning Worksheet Error : The Prod. Order Component does not exist

(3) ShareShare

Posted on by 11

When running the Planning Worksheet, it has Error lines

The Planning Worksheet were unable to plan 912 items

Component that should appear in the worksheet is not there.

Error Messages includes

The Requisition Line does not exist. Identification fields and values: Worksheet Template Name='PLANNING',Journal Batch Name='DEFAULT',Line No.='1357521666'

The Prod. Order Component does not exist. Identification fields and values: Status='3',Prod. Order No.='RJN004168',Prod. Order Line No.='0',Line No.='20000'

I have manually emptied tables of the Planning Worksheet & Reservation Table, respectively Table 246 & 337, but it still has 900 errors (Total lines approx 3000 lines)

I have the same question (0)

    Hello,

If you don't get further responses to this issue, you may want to raise a support request to Microsoft support via your CSP / Partner.

I think you should reach out to your partner and have them debug this issue together with you.

Did you manage to solve the issue? I have the same case with reference to finished production order.

If yes, did you find out why did it happen in the first place?

my suggestion would be run small batches for a few items at a time using the filter. If you could pinpoint what items were causing the issue, it would be easier to look deeper into it.

Planning Worksheet Error : The Prod. Order Component does not exist
For the second issue- prod. Component does not exist, try going to the production order->Component-> item card and set order tracking policy from none to tracking orders and back to none. You must be having orphaned reservation entries issues. This deletes any orphaned entries.

For the first, I found out that I have orphaned records in planning Component table. It is supposed to delete the lines when production order is finished, but it didn't for couple of production orders. I am still trying to figure out a way to remove those lines without code.

Planning Worksheet Error : The Prod. Order Component does not exist
    Hello,

Your planning errors come from orphan tracking records (Order Tracking / Planning Component) that still reference worksheet lines or production components that no longer exist.
Deleting only tables 246 (Worksheet) and 337 (Reservation Entry) doesn’t fix the real issue.

    Fix (very short):

    1. Fix or recreate the broken Released Prod. Order RJN004168 (component line 20000 missing).

    2. Clean orphan entries in:

    99000849 – Order Tracking Entry

    99000829 – Planning Component

    3. Re-run planning → errors disappear.

This always requires a partner/dev because these tables are not exposed in the UI.

Planning Worksheet Error : The Prod. Order Component does not exist
    Hello,

The Planning Worksheet errors occur because it references missing or inconsistent data, often due to manual deletion of related records like requisition lines or production order components.

Clearing tables (246 and 337) doesn’t fully resolve this because orphaned links remain, causing messages such as “Requisition Line does not exist” and “Prod. Order Component does not exist.”

The safest fix is to avoid manual SQL deletes, run Regenerative Planning or Delete & Recalculate, and clean up open production orders or reservations.

If corruption persists, use a controlled cleanup process via AL code or Microsoft’s recommended tools instead of direct table edits.
