Hi:

From within Business Central, how can we get a report showing all sales data except for quotes with a Order Date range of 01/01/2025 through today's date and containing a total sales amount dollar figure?

Thanks!

John

    Hi John

Can you define what you mean by sales data?

Do you want open invoices/orders?  Posted invoices?

    Kind Regards

@AndrewThomas81: We need simply all sales lines for that date range except for those of Sales Quotes.

You can use the sales line page filtered to exclude quotes for open orders and invoices

For posted documents you will need to extract, posted sales invoice lines and posted sales credit memo lines

Date filters can be added to all

    Kind Regards

    Hi John,
Quickest way: open Posted Sales Invoices, filter Document Date to 01/01/25..today, and use the page total or Edit in Excel for the dollar figure. Repeat on Posted Sales Cr. Memos and net the two.
For a single report with both, the Sales Statistics report or an Account Schedule on Cust. Ledger Entries (Document Type: Invoice|Credit Memo) will give you one total.

The Sales Lines list in BC doesn't go back to the previous historical year.

I'd rather not use an Account Schedule or Customer Ledger Entries, as I'm trying to get a line item based report.

You can use Sales Lines and Posted Sales Lines. If you can't see older lines its because those lines are already posted hence they are under Posted Sales Lines. That will go back to previous years. There is just the two separate tables. You could take those tables to Excel or Power BI and combine them if needed.
