Quality Management extension for Business Central

Hi Community members,

Need help to understand how to get Quality Management extension for Business Central. As per the link below MS said that it will be available from Nov 16,2025 for public preview, but i cannot locate it still on latest version of BC which is 27.2.

Any idea, when this will be available of is it deferred by MS.

Hi,

It is not generally available. It is in public preview.

So ideally you need to create a new Sandbox with latest Preview version and you can check.

If not available, Microsoft is now releasing modules as App in the AppSource so may be check there.

Not available in app source as well as in later version of BC which 27.2. I did crated new sandbox.

Get early access preview versions as a partner

Tenants with the partner sandbox license get early access to preview environments for the next major Business Central version, giving you a head start in exploring new capabilities and preparing for changes ahead of general availability.

I had been fighting this for a while. Here is my understanding...

Launch of Quality management has now moved to Feb 2026

Public Previews seem to be limited in when they can be created.

Previews as a partner (e.g. using CDX) are now only available through partner sandboxes and can no longer be created in CDX.

Hi,

The Quality Management extension for Dynamics 365 BC is not yet generally available in BC version 27.2. According to the MS release plan for BC 2025 release wave 2, the Quality Management capabilities are scheduled for public preview starting November 16, 2025 and general availability in February 2026. This means that as of BC 27.2, you will not see the Quality Management extension in AppSource or within your environment unless:

It is already installed in a newly deployed tenant where MS auto‑installed the extension, or

You install it manually after it becomes available in your region/AppSource.

Some tenants that are newly created might already have the extension preinstalled as part of the cloud rollout, but for most upgraded environments currently on 27.2 you will not find it yet.

MS’s documentation also states that delivery timelines can change, and preview features may be deferred or adjusted before general availability.

I've looked for this feature before, but it's not available in the current version. I've confirmed this in both the W1 and US regions.

It was also not found in AppSource, so it may only be available in the following environments.

Hello ,

The Quality Management / Incoming Inspection feature mentioned in the 2025 Wave 2 release plan is not available yet, even in BC 27.2, and you’re not missing an extension. Although Microsoft listed Nov 16, 2025 as Public Preview, these previews are often rolled out gradually, hidden behind Feature Management, limited to certain tenants/regions, or delayed altogether, and in this case the functionality simply isn’t exposed in standard SaaS tenants yet. It’s a first-party Microsoft feature, not something you can install from AppSource, so until it shows up in Feature Management or is marked General Availability in updated release notes, it should be considered effectively deferred.
