Multiline textbox not allowing char more than 2000 in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011

Hi Team,

I have added a new field with data type as "Multiple Lines of text" with default size of 4000. It is working fine in dev environment, but when I export and import the solution into my QA server and tested, I found an exception like "Maximum limit of 2000 characters can be accepted" when I entering more than 2000 char. I have also rechecked the field details, maximum size is 4000 only.

Please suggest.

Are you exporting the solution as managed or unmanaged? Cause the one will stack and the other won't. In your QA environment when you customise the field, what is the length?
