I am managing the timesheets for resources (person) for both internal employees and external workers. I am facing the following two problems:
Problem 1: Not able to charge the usage of resources to the related salaries expense account for employees and the related G/L account for invoicing the vendor.
Problem 2: Resources cannot be imported to the purchase invoice, only usage can be recorded in the project. How to invoice such lines by linking or importing those lines from the project planning lines?
Based on my trials, I found from the timesheets and projects we can only record the usage. Their impact on G/L accounts cannot be recorded. For recording their impact separate transactions needed to be recorded manually without linking to the projects and timesheet in the form of salaries expense in general ledger and vendor accounts / payable accounts from purchase documents.
Looking forward for the solution. If we can record the impact on G/L accounts while recording the usage of resources from the timesheets.
