Permissions to Post PO but not allow to create PO

A user has permission to create Purchase Orders (PO) because they need to post POs, create Purchase Invoices (PI), and create Purchase Credit Memos (PCM), which all share the same table number.

Is there a way to prevent the user from creating POs while still allowing them to post POs and create PIs and PCMs?

    Hello,

You can create Custom Permission Set in which the Table Data for Purchase Header and Purchase Line is allowed but Restrict access to the "Purchase Order" page (e.g., Page 50) while still allowing access to the Purchase Invoice and Purchase Credit Memo pages.

I hope your issue will be resolved.

    Hello,

You can fulfil this requirement from standard Permission Set.
Basically, you will need to create 3 permissions.
Permission 1 and Permission 2 must be restricted to only Table 38 with Security Filter on Document Type.

You can also group these two together to easily manage them.

Permissions to Post PO but not allow to create PO
    Hello,

As per my understanding, you can implement a customization or event subscriber that blocks PO creation for specific users based on roles or user IDs while still allowing posting and access to PIs and PCMs.

Hope this answer will help you!

Permissions to Post PO but not allow to create PO
    Hello,

You could use a security filter in the permission set for Document Type. In this case, the user will still have the permission again but it will give error.

If you are looking to hide or restrict that option, I would recommend doing some development.

    I hope I can help.

    Regards,

You should be able to do this by excluding the permissions for the Purchase Order page.

    Hope this helps.
    Thanks.
