Hi, can you please have someone urgently help us with this error:

Qty. to Handle (Base) in the item tracking assigned to the document line for item AFD-A36-000000000660 is currently 2.344. It must be 0.159. Check the assignment for serial number, lot number DH24090904, package number. If we try to post anything, whether transfer order or sales order ect...

We get this error, so its blocking us from doing anything. This is causing our whole company to stand still.

Hi,
This error couldn't block all of the company daily processes/transactions...
The error states, that there is a problem with one item AFD-A36-000000000660 that is being used in some kind of document.
You are trying to reduce/move quantity of 2,344 for a specific Lot no. or Serial no. for this item, but this specific Lot no/Serial no has only 0,159 quantity left.

Open Item tracking lines one the document for this item line, and check the Qty. to Handle column to 0,159.

Everything we try to post give this error, even if this item has nothing to do with the sales order, transfer ect...
So tracking lines does not have this item in it...

Hi,

You might have already tried the below mentioned approaches, but if not then you can:

Cancel the document and re-create it.

Clear the incorrect item tracking lines and reassign the lot/package quantity correctly.

Do not edit the database directly — that can break the item tracking ledger.

Its an assembly consumption that breaks it and I am not sure how to fix it, our company has been down for the last 24 hours but hopefully our BC team will have it sorted soon...

It sounds like you have a problem in the Reservation Entries table. You'll need to examine the table as related to the Item number and/or Lot Number involved in the error. If you're BC Team is not familiar with this then open a ticket with your Microsoft Partner.

This error occurs because the “Qty. to Handle (Base)” doesn’t match the quantity in the Item Tracking Lines for the specified lot or serial number. Open the document line, go to Item Tracking Lines, and ensure the handled quantity matches the assigned quantity. If mismatched, correct it or delete and reassign tracking.
