Business Card Scanner app integration

Hi there - we would like to be able to scan business cards from our mobile devices however I understand Lens is not supporting this any longer.  We do not have the ability to license the AI Builder due to cost - is there another third party option that would work?

    there are several solid third-party alternatives that work well—many even integrate with CRM systems like Dynamics 365.
    Since:
    • You’re working with Dynamics / Power Platform
    • You want to avoid AI Builder cost
    Best options:
    • Connectily (if enterprise + integration needed)
    • ScanBuddy.ai (if staying in Microsoft ecosystem)
    • CamCard (simple + cost-effective fallback)

    We faced a similar issue in one of our implementations after Microsoft fully retired the Lens mobile app and disabled scanning earlier this month.
    While Microsoft recommended using Copilot as an alternative, the business card contact extraction capability was not carried forward. When we evaluated Microsoft AI Builder as a replacement, we found that it requires a separate license starting at approximately $500 per month for 1M service credits which will be consume in all the AI scenarios, even when using the Business Card Reader components in Power Apps or Dynamics. We evaluated several third‑party options including ScanBizCards, Handshook, ABBYY, and Vision‑e Scan, and found that ScanBizCards best met our functional and scalability requirements. It offers transparent pricing at around $10 per user per month with unlimited scans (scaling predictably with user count), whereas the other options increase costs significantly as scan volume or enterprise usage grows.
