Is there anyway when you select an employee that the full name shows and not the code?

Unfortunately, this is currently only possible through customization, which has two options:
1. Actual Field
2. Flowfield
You can add fields as needed.

As mentioned by other users your only option is for a developer to add a custom field that displays the employee name.

To Veiw employee name in list ,

Add Feild group to your table like below . It should work

Employee table already has field group . Seems its your custom field

Similar Example like Item master

It looks like that is a custom table, but you can define the lookup to display the name or create another field to populate the name. For example, on the Sales Order, you select the customer number. But all the details are populated in the other fields. So you need to design your customization that way

1. If you are asking about how to show the Name of Employee in the dropdown list page that opens when you click on the TESTED BY field, then you need to use the field groups. It helps you add on additional fields when you open dropdown list via TableRelation.

2. If you are asking about how to store the Employee Name in the line, then the best approach is to create a new field in your "TESTS" table and page, and write code on the OnValidate() trigger of "TESTED BY" to store the employee name in the new field.

Hi,

Yes. By default, employee lookups show the No. (code). To display the full name instead, you can:
> Page Field Modification – Change the CaptionExpr property of the field on the page to something like Name (from the Employee table).
> Use a FlowField – Create a FlowField on the page that pulls Employee.Name based on the selected code. Display this FlowField instead of the code.
> Extended Lookup – Modify the lookup via OnLookup trigger to show a list with both code and full name, letting the user select by name.

Option 1 is simplest if you just want to display the name; Option 3 gives a nicer user experience for selection.

Hi,

The most simple way to do this is ask your partner to add a flowfield. This will bring the name based on the employee code. Once you validate the code, field for name will be updated as well.

Minor change required.
