ReportLegal entity over rides for default dimension is used to default the values for dimensions on the transactions.
When you select an account or post auto transactions like revaluations, system will default those values selected.
Default values can be set as fixed or not fixed.
But in some cases it is important to fix the values.
For example; if you do not want to set specific account structure for VAT or revaluation accounts while postings and you need to post transactions with values which are not highlighted on the transactions, it is better to use fixed simension setup.

We are utilising this setup, and have the same senario where we have automatic transactions posting which require this default dimension (eg. intercompany posting). To ensure the automatic transactions will post, we have set the default to fixed value, however this means that if we populate this dimension field manually (and something which is different to the fixed default dimension), when the transaction is posted, it is then overridden with the fixed value. Any ideas on how we are to force the default dimension to populate for the automatic transactions, but still allow the dimension to be diferent when manually selected? Thanks! Lauren
