Stock and Demo buckets?

Team,

What is a simple way to setup stock and demo buckets? Currently our team can't decipher between them as they're all "internal" on the Customer Assets list.
And how can we simply tell/show if they're finished / ready, or in production?

give more detail, that will give more specific answer.

As per my current understanding,  It is usability issue in asset-heavy apps (especially in Dynamics/Field Service scenarios), and the fix is actually more about data design + visual clarity than anything complex.

The simplest and most effective approach is:
    • Add two fields — Bucket Type (Stock/Demo/Production) and Status (Ready/In Progress/etc.), and display them clearly (with colors) in your Customer Assets list.

Use Asset Category (out of the box): create Stock and Demo categories and assign them to Customer Assets. This is the recommended way to group and filter assets.

Manage Finished / Ready in  Production
Use Asset Status (out‑of‑the‑box) to represent lifecycle (e.g., Not Ready, Demo Ready, In Production). Status is designed for asset lifecycle tracking.

    Make it obvious to users
Create system views like Stock -Not Ready, Demo - Ready, Production Assets using Asset Category + Asset Status filters. Views and filtering on these fields are fully supported. I hope this will clarify you query.
