Wave Label Printing for picking in Eaches

Hello Everyone,

Has anyone tried using wave label printing while picking in both cases/boxes and eaches?
The scenario that I am trying to solution for is where the client wants to pick in both case quantities as well as each quantity from the same sales order.

The expectation is to have one wave label printed per case pick and one label per container that is used to pack the mixed item in eaches.
I tried using two separate wave label types on the unit sequence group - one for case and other for each, but I am not getting the desired results.
If I have a SO line quantity of 13 and the case quantity for this item is 10, system generates 2 wave labels for case picking (quantity of 10 and 3 each) and then 26 more labels, probably for the 13 each picks.

I am also using containerization in the same wave template so that I could use container id as the primary key for generating one single label for all the each picks.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Rohit

    Hi Rohit,

Do you have also two wave label templates? I think the system combines in your case "two print orders for two different scenarios".

    Hi Laurens,

    Thank you for your response.
Yes, I do have 2 wave label templates. One each for case and individual picks.
I have managed to get one single label generated for the case pick quantity but the each pick quantity is always printing 1 label per each quantity picked.
I am not able to print it based on the container that is created by the wave template containerization method that I want to use for packing eaches.

    Regards,
    Rohit

    Hi Laurens,

I am using a single wave template, but I have repeated the wave printing method twice, one each for box/case and each printing.

    Hi Rohit,

Thanks for sharing. Could you configure two wave templates?

    • A wave template for the unit "Each"
    • A wave template for the unit "Box"
    Best regards,
    Laurens van der Tang

    Hi Laurens,

I don't want to use two separate wave templates because the split between box and each pick's could also happen in the same sales order line.
For e.g. a line quantity of 13 might have to be picked as 1 box of 10 and then 3 eaches.

    Regards,
    Rohit
