Hi ,
In meeting entity
Earlier We had To field when we select any value in To field then we have a client field which autopopulates based on To field... This is disabled now and autopopulate is not happening now in meeting entity..

But  when I am in contact entity and click on + icon in timeline and open a meeting activity from contact form then in meeting form

Value in client field still auto populating.why is this so and how to avoid this??

Business rule don't work on lookup fields
But they do? Below is a screenshot of a Business Rule on the Work Order table, clearing the value from the Service Account field (which is a lookup). I just did this in my demo environment to make sure I wasn't totally missing something.

You can also set the field to be cleared in the business rule, rather than picking a specific value like the above screenshot.

If you want to do JavaScript that is fine. It should be a simple function called on load of the form (still should only run when the record has not yet been created) that sets the value of the field in question to null. I'm sure Copilot can help write that function.

Opening a related record from within the context of another (in this case, opening a new activity from inside a contact timeline) will always associate the original record. That's standard CRM functionality, so nothing too crazy there.

If you want to open a new meeting without having anything prepopulated, you can always use the Quick Create button at the top ribbon which should open the activity outside of any other form context.

If you need to open from within a parent form, you can clear out the automatically populated values using Business Rules. My preferred method would be a Business rule that says: If the [Created On] field does not contain data, clear the field. Then make sure the [Created On] field is somewhere on your form to ensure the rule triggers.
