Total Estimated Duration in Work Order resets to 30 minutes

After creating a work order, total estimated duration field value resets to 30 minutes. There is no customization around this field and not sure why this resets to 30 min immediately after creating the work order. Has anyone faced this issue and resolved this?
I have the same question (0)

Total Estimated Duration in Work Order resets to 30 minutes
    Hi,

When a Work Order is created, In the Dynamics 365 Field Service will run’s an internal logic that calculates Total Estimated Duration based on the Work Order Service Tasks.

so If no service tasks exist on the work order then the system will default it to 30 minutes.
So even if you try to change it manually the field, the system plugin overwrites the value to 30 min.

    Example :

I have created a test workorder , the system set the default 30 min in the total estimate duration.

So to overcome from this You need Add a Service Task before saving
If a Work Order has at least one service task, the system will calculate based on that and then it will not revert to 30 min.

Below I have created a 2 Service tasks = One with 2 hours second with 1 day duration .
so it will calculate estimate duration on service task in minutes and add them and show in the
    Total estimate duration = 1 Day into minute = 1440 + 2hours in minute – 120 min

So we got Total Estimate Duration = 1560.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks!

Estimated duration can also be set by the Incident Type attached to a work order. If there is no incident type and no tasks (which you can't create tasks until after the work order is completed) then the value defaults to 30 minutes when the Work Order is created.

That's just how Microsoft has the default value set for newly created Work Orders without other information attached.
