We want to update portal authentication key for our portal we don't have global administration role can we update using portal azure app registration how can we do it

    Without Global or Application Administrator permissions, you cannot directly update the portal authentication key in Azure App Registration.
     
    The recommended approach is to either request appropriate permissions or have an admin generate a new client secret,
     
    after which you can update the corresponding site settings in Power Pages.

    Yes, you can update a Portal authentication key without Global Administrator access but only if you are an Owner of the associated Azure (Microsoft Entra ID) App Registration.
    If you are not an App Registration Owner and you do not have Global Administrator / Application Administrator / Power Platform Administrator, then you cannot update the authentication key yourself. In that case, admin involvement is mandatory
    1.  you have to Identify the App Registration or Client Id which you are using
    2.  Get Added as App Registration Owner , Ask an Entra admin to add you the owner or co-owner
    3. This does NOT require Global Admin, anyone who already owns the app can do this
    4. App Registration -> Certificates & secrets , Create new client secret (or certificate).
    5. Update Portal Authentication Key
    6. Power Page Site -> Update Authentication Key
