I'm a young person currently looking at swapping career paths towards becoming a CRM Consultant, currently I'm doing a apprenticeship what will last for another year and a half in a completely different industry what has no IT skills included in it, however I've grown up with computers and I'm competent In PowerPoint, exel ect.
After work I've been completing various Microsoft learn units centered around CRM fundamentals, and plan to eventually take the exam and gain a fundamentals certificate. I have around a year and a half until I can start applying for roles.
my main questions are, what are starting roles I could qualify for with around 3 qualifications centered around CRM, and is there anyway for me to get some practical experience while I study, and finally any reccomendations for studying.
any help is welcomed and would love to talk about how people eventually got into 365 oriented jobs!

    Hi!

I've been in a similar position a few years ago, so I understand how you feel. The Power Platform can be quite overwhelming at first, and it’s hard to know where to start. I recommend looking for a graduate CRM consultant role where you can learn while working. If you need to complete your apprenticeship first, consider taking the PL-900 Power Platform Fundamentals certification. It's designed for beginners and will give you a solid foundation to start building your experience.

    Hope this helps! :)

    • Build a portfolio: Showcase your skills with mock projects and case studies.

    • Freelance: Find small CRM-related tasks on platforms like Upwork or Fiverr.

    • Take courses with hands-on projects: Many online courses include practical exercises.

    3. Study Tips:

    • Use Microsoft Learn: Their structured learning paths are very helpful.

    • Practice with hands-on labs: Get experience by working with a free trial of Dynamics 365.
