Unable to upload/download file through DMF & unable to use "Open in Excel" function from dashboard

Hello Members,

As a part of testing, I have created an environment on free trial subscription and installed D365 supply chain management premium.

When I try to use Data import and export project to upload/download a file through DMF, I'm having errors. Also, I have Authentication issue using "Open in Excel" function from dashboard. I have tried free trials earlier but never ran into such errors. I have created a storage account and connected to check if that could be an issue but of no help (I'm not technical). Please have a look at the screenshots and suggest what is the solution here? Is it any limitation related to trial environment or storage? or product version?

Installed product version : 10.0.47

Thanks for any suggestions.

Regards
Beulah Monica

    Hi,

Unfortunately, at this moment your screenshots are not visible. Can you try to repost them in a reply or copy the literal text of the errors?
Can you also tell if you deployed an environment via LCS or Power Platform Admin Center?

    Hi André,

I've deployed via Power Platform Admin Center. Screenshots of the errors are attached below. Thanks

Thanks for the clarification. I just deployed a trial myself and notice the same issues. It can be either an intended restriction or it might be a misconfiguration. I sent a message to someone at Microsoft to get some clarity on this.

    Hi André,

Thanks for verifying and taking it to Microsoft. I'd also like to share that this issue doesn't show up in Microsoft learn virtual lab which also gives free access but for a limited time. Below are the screenshots of successful download and upload through DMF. I have raised a support ticket with Microsoft, it's been 25 days already but they haven't come up with any solution. Would you please suggest me any other way you know that could help me access D365 environment with no issues of DMF in the mean time? Thanks

Agree with Andre. Facing the same issue in the trial environment. Checked with Microsoft support and it looks like its a known issues with authentication and authorisation with Excel add-ins in PPAC related trial environments.

    Tried the following approaches:
    1. Re-provisioning the environment too but the issue still persists.
    2. SIgning out and signing back but no luck. Clearing the local cache didn't help too.

    Hi @CU07030617-0,

A contact at Microsoft appears to own the trial experience. He started an investigation to see what should be fixed for having the trial services working with the Excel connector and data management features. I do hope they will be able to fix this shortly.
