Date picker in header flyout not working. Opens up but not able to select.

Seems that this started happening sometime this April 2026.

The date picker works fine on any other date field in the form. Just the header flyout.

This can be the issue with Wave release, MS made the modern model driven UI mandatory and removed the legacy header rendering path and Header flyout now use the high density , layered UI.

Though this is working for me in my wave release but i am on monthly channel , would you be able to share what monthly UI build applied on your environment, go to any app - > settings -> About

Note the app version.

Its working for me with below:

You might have to create MS support request to apply a wave fix if its not working for your environment.

Hey,

I ran into the same issue.

I think it’s a product bug (I’m sure Microsoft will fix it soon).

As a workaround, I ended up adding the field to the form instead of using it in the header.

Thanks for your quick response!

This is one of the app about details.

A few other inputs:

* using up/down/left/right arrows allows user to get to the date and enter. It takes

* bringing in the app into Teams makes the header date selector work.

MS Team has not acknowledged this or confirmed this as bug anywhere yet and i could not find this is in known bug list as well , you might have to create support ticket for this , also can you try if this is system or browser issue , try with different system or browser.

Also , workaround as Jimmy mentioned can be followed till the time if not usable for users.

Got this notification in PowerApps. Looks like it's a known issue and will be resolved.

Thank you for the update and for sharing this. Yes, I did notice this yesterday in the known issues list. However, the behavior you’re seeing on header was working for me on the same train so was not sure about this. Let’s wait through the weekend and see if this gets resolved early next week in your environment.
